Ola Zumba® Party People!

We have an amazing December line up, kicking off with our Zumba® Jammer Masterclass with the amazing Tania from Zumba® Twinz. Coming to us directly from Europe, Tania’s ready to party with us on Friday Dec 13th at 7.00pm. There’ll be guest instructors joining in the fun & stay around for our Christmas after party to celebrate another amazing year of Zumba fun! Prepay in class for only $20 or $25 on the night. It promises to be the jam of the year so book your place today!

More celebrations will be taking place at our annual Kris Kringle at Wheelers Hill Hotel, Sunday 22nd Dec at 12.00pm. Join in the celebrations by purchasing a $15 gift for your Kris Kringle & share the spirit of Christmas. Please let us know if you can make it by registering in class so we can confirm numbers.

This year classes will be finishing up on Sat 21st Dec & resume Mon 13th Jan. Please note, we will not be continuing with Wed morning classes or Zumba® Toning classes on Tuesday’s as the halls have informed us they have other commitments.

RECIPE CORNER

RAW CHERRY BOMBS

Ingredients:

3/4 cup raw cacao powder pinch of salt 1/4 tsp of cinnamon 1/2 cup pitted fresh dates packed tight 1/4 cup honey 2 tablespoon coconut oil melted 1 table spoon vanilla bean paste/extract 10-15 pitted cherries 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder or desiccated coconut to roll in.

Method:

1. Pulse all the dry ingredients in a processor. Add the dates, oil, vanilla paste, and honey and process till completely combined. You may need to scrape down the bowl a few times to get it to a good consistency.

2. Roll the fudge into small ball and then flatten into a circle. Place the berry in the centre and fold the circle up around the berry. Roll into a circle and dust with raw cacao/coconut, roll again to spread equally.

3. Place on a plate and into the freezer to chill.

‘Tis The Season…

As our thoughts turn to family & celebrations for the upcoming Christmas season, keep in mind that too much of a good thing can be harmful to your health!

Here are some guidelines to follow to avoid undoing all the work you’ve put into your health this year:

Drink plenty of water! At least 2 litres a day can help flush toxins such as alcohol from your liver.

Eat fresh vegetables and fruit throughout the day. Foods we tend to eat at Christmas time tend to be rich, heavy foods. By making sure to snack on fruit, veggies & nuts throughout the day, you can avoid the mid-afternoon energy slump & regulate your blood glucose levels.

Avoid too many late nights! Sleep is important to repair & rejuvenate your body. Sleep debt can lead to poor immune function, anxiety & depression. With so many functions to attend, try to cap it so you can still get a good nights sleep.
